Studio photography lab 2 sem 2

Image one- this was the image taken outdoors. I like the image because it is not very obvious that the flash was used.

This was a creative image I took by using second curtain on the camera. It was difficult to take handheld but the flash helped and I am happy with the quality

I took this image outside of Stephen and I like the colouring and contrast.

This image was taken in front of the window. It was difficult at first to try and get the background to be the correct contrast and also to make sure there was not too much flash on the face.

I chose this image because, I like the contrast between the darkness in the foreground and the light shining in the background. I like the positioning of the deer and the eerie feel to the photograph. Image 1- Zebra crossing. I like using different speeds and f stops to make this image and I like the symmetry  Image 2- I like the colours of the autumn leaves I like the contrast between the green leaf on the tree and the blurred brown leaves which have already fallen I like how this image differs from image 2 as this one has different exposure

Lecture 8- photography style

 I watched two videos on photographic style for the lecture this week. I have realised it is important to have your own photographic style in order to be a good professional photographer. In the video, Sean Tucker discusses a story about when he was doing some photography with friends at a protest and how he felt out of place and came home with no good images, while his other friend got some great shots. (Tucker, 2019)   What I have learned from this is that it's important to stick to a style that you know and are good at. It is also important to step out of your comfort zone and try lots of new things in order to find your true photographic style. Studying other photographers work to see what sort of styles you like can also help mould your own photographic style.
