Image one: I have chosen this image for leading lines. I like how they lead into the distance towards the college. Image two:  I have chosen this image for an image of colour. It also has some horizontal lines  Image 3: I have chosen this as a golden rule image. There is some negative space to the left and the bars draw your eye to the bike. Image 4; I have chosen this image for balance. It is a symmetrical image. Image 5: I have chosen this image for negative spacing. It is very minimal and there is a lot of empty space in the background. Image 6: I like this image as it has leading lines that run into horizontal lines in the distance.

Image- Julia Diament      The photographer I have chosen to write about in my blog is Julia Diament, a photographer who was from a small Jewish town in Poland. There is not a lot of colour in Julia’s images. As she was a photographer in the early to mid 20th century, her images are in black and white. Julia took photographs during the war and her photos are quite dark and emotional. The use of black and white suits the mood of the war era.

Image one: for this image I was doing the task which required standing in one spot and taking 24 images. I like the vibrancy of the shoes against the dull ground. This was a good challenge trying to find different images to capture in the same spot. Image two: This task was to find an object and place it in each of the four corners of the frame. I chose this camera as the image has a raw and weathered look about it Image 3: for this image we had to photograph a small object. I chose the top half of this lighter and shot in a low f/ in order to get a very shallow DOF. Image 4: for this image, we had to find an image online and try to recreate it. I chose an image of a bird flying from a side profile and took this image to try and match it. I like the shape of the bird in this. Image 5: this image was for the task where we picked a scene we liked and took 10 photos. I like contrasting colours of the leaves on different trees. Image 6: This image was for the limiting task. Photo essay

Photo essay sport .  https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/jan/04/life-in-the-football-cocoon-photo-essay-premier-league-coronavirus-lockdown I chose this photo essay as it really captures what football was like during the pandemic. The photos create an eerie atmosphere of empty stadiums and fans doing what they can to watch the games. The photo essay really shows the contrast to what football was like in previous months. I think this essay really captured the mood.

Aperture

Image
I shot this image in f/22. Although it is very close to the subject, the background is still in focus due to the high aperture. In this image I have focused on the background and blurred the foreground. It has a cool effect In this image I have done the opposite by blurring the background and having the foreground in focus. For this image I have used f/3.5. The object is in focus, while the background is extremely blurred for a cool effect.
